How a Rogue can be fun

By admin | July 24, 2009

Rogues are masters of the shadows and deadly as ninjas. Huge damage dealers, which use poisons to cripple their target. How can a Rogue be fun? Well, stealth is there ally and it’s great fun to be able to stalk your target. Waiting for the right moment to strike and unleashing deadly combos onto your enemy from behind. Teaming up with others to unlock doors and chests. Finding hidden traps and disarming them.

Rogues are very different from many other classes because of there stealth ability. Being able to leave battles at will, using vanish and sprint. Rogues are weak compared to other melee classes and can only wear cloth and leather. You have Assassination, Combat and Subtlety. Assassination is for burst damage and makes your poison less resistible and helps you get more combo points in battle, which in turn allows you to use more finishing moves. Very good for PvP. Combat is the best for levelling, it focuses on more auto-attack damage, which is good because of the little downtime. Should at least get Dual Wield Specialization for the DPS increase. Subtlety is for the ninjas out there. It allows fast movement and staying in the shadows to get combo points. With more spells geared for PvP Subtlety is a good choice for PvP and DPS in instances and raids.

Attributes Rogues should focus on is Hit Rating, Haste, Attack Power and Agility. Hit Rating is the amount of hit you are likely to miss. The more Hit Rating you have the less likely you are to miss. Haste decreases the time between attacks. Attack Power increases your base DPS and Agility increases attack power, armor, crit chance and dodge chance. Make sure you have First Aid as this will be your only real way of healing as Rogues do not have any spells for healing. One unique ability Rogues have is Lockpicking, this can be learnt at level 16 and allows Rogues to open doors and chests which are lock. This is a good reason why people like grouping with a rogue as they can access areas other classes can’t. Rogues are not for everyone, but I recommend everyone at least trying them out. Being such great damage dealers and the ability of stealth, this class can be deadly in the right hands. Rogues being a very unique and interesting class can be very fun, but it depends on the type of person you are.

Being a successful Priest

By admin | July 21, 2009

Being a successful Priest can make a big difference to how your time will be played in World of Warcraft. Mainly, because every time you do well in a group, people will remember you and in no time everyone will be inviting you to instances even when your not looking for one. So how do you become a successful Priest? Well, it’s mostly in the healing. Regardless of which talent tree your in, learning to heal in a group is very important. Mostly, because at end game levels in most raids you will be healing and your guild will expect your skills to be spot on.

Practice makes perfect, get yourself into low level raids early on and learn the flow of a group battle. Learn how to deal with problems that might happen and how using abilities like Mind Control for Crowd Control. Priests are not the only class that can heal, but they are the best healers in WoW. Unlikely, classes like the Hunter. You will find most of the time you are in groups and doing instances. This is the right place for your Priest. Make sure you are getting the right gear as you level and remember although you are a healing class, this does not mean you can’t do damage. Spirit gear is what you should be aiming to get for your equipment. You may not hit as hard as a mage, but your powerful buffs and heals make up for your restriction to wearing cloth.

There is the odd time where you will be solo leveling and for a healing class, you do pretty good damage. Test and tweak your grinding combo to decrease downtime. Best way to power level in World of Warcraft with your Priest is to find 2-3 good friends to power through the quests with. If you can’t find friends to level with all the time, just do a /who and find some people at the same level as you around. Most people will gladly accept a group to power through quests. Switch between healing and doing damage. This is also a good time to practice your healing while doing quests with others.

There are two sub-roles to describe the Priest class paths, each path optimally includes talents within the Discipline tree. Therefore, the “Shadow Priest” role actually refers to those with Shadow/Discipline builds and Holy Priest role refers to those with Holy/Discipline builds. Both of these roles are valid builds.

Being a successful Priest takes skill, knowledge and most of all, love for the class. If you don’t like playing a Priest or the idea of being forced into healing by your guild. I recommend rolling a different class.

Making Grinding Fun

By admin | July 18, 2009

Grinding while playing World of WarCraft is an unfortunate part of the game for most all players and this is due to the fact that it is simply just plain boring. You are going to find that you are going to reach a certain level where you will be spending all your gold stash on skills and spells which will leave you with absolutely nothing for purchasing strong amour and other gear. Grinding as the name implies will get pretty boring as you are doing the same stuff over and over again. Well thankfully grinding does not have to be incredibly boring and here are a few ways to make this “chore” a little more fun.

Multitasking- Most people overlook this option while grinding. You could decide to listen to some music or maybe watch a favorite movie. You just want to do anything that keeps your mind off doing the same thing over and over again. Just be sure that you are not watching the same movie over and over or the same song over and over. That could make you a little nutty.

Chatting is a great way to take your mind off things while you are taking on the task of grinding in the game of World of WarCraft. Just remember to chat while you are resting so that you will not get killed.

You should vary the places where you decide to grind. Changing the places where you grind can help you not to be so incredibly bored. You could change from going t a lower level area where of course you will not make as much money to travelling to a higher level area where you can increase your profits.

Taking a break from grinding can really help in alleviating the boredom of grinding. Go enjoy the outdoors for a while, watch a favorite television show, just do anything other then playing the game of World of WarCraft.

If you are able to take the boredom out of grinding while you are playing World of WarCraft you can make it a fun experience instead something that is no fun at all. This way you can complete a very monotonous task while having a whole lot of fun.

Best Practices For Hunters

By admin | July 15, 2009

Playing a Hunter is a very interesting class and great for playing solo. If you are a solo player then, you have to rely on your own skills and knowledge. As a Hunter, you should always keep an eye on your ammo count. You’re useless if you can’t fire your weapon. Every time you return to a village, stock up on ammo. Always, have food at hand if your pet decides to become unhappy. Try and always keep your pet happy because your pet will perform better.

One of the most important skills of a Hunter is Kiting. In a nutshell, Kiting is the art of running away from your target and jumping, while in the air turn and firing. Before you land, turn back the way you were running and continue to kite your target. You must use instant cast spells for this to work. Remember to watch out for other enemies, you don’t want to start picking up adds. Aspect of the Cheetah is helpful when Kiting, but if you don’t have it you can still kite. Don’t kite your target outside of it’s area, as it will leave combat and you’ll have to start again. Kite your target in a circle to remain inside it’s area. Traps are useful against fast moving targets. Take off growl as you want to hold aggo for kiting.

Although, you’re a great solo class. You are useful in instances and groups. However, you must master the skill of controlling your pet. If your pet starts going wild and attack everything, it can pull to many monsters and wipe the group. This type of accident can get you kicked out of groups. So, as soon as you get high enough level start getting into groups and practice. It’s better to do mistakes in lower level instances as most groups are still learning. In higher levels groups, your team will be less forgiving for mistakes.

Use your pet to pull targets that are outside of your attack range. Also known as playing fetch, this method of pulling requires you to send your pet to attack the target. Then, once it’s gained aggo tell your pet to follow and the target will follow your pet back to your side and into your attack range. Remember, your pet can climb cliffs that you can’t. A good method of pulling a ranged target is to gain aggo then hide behind a object, so that the line of sight is broken. Your target will then come to you. Place a trap where the target will likely walk to gain the upper hand.

The Alliance Guide to Leveling

By admin | July 3, 2009

If you happen to be an alliance member it can be very hard to find a good quality leveling guide then if you were a member of the horde. There are huge numbers of World of WarCraft players that consider those that are playing as a member of the Alliance playing on the “easy” mode of the game. Playing as an Alliance member can be just as challenging as becoming a member of the Horde. Because gamers think it is much simpler to play an alliance member it can be quite difficult to find a leveling guide that is actually worth your time to use.

If you happen to be playing on the Horde side you are going to be able to locate plenty of great leveling guides. If you are a member of the Alliance you will not have as go as luck. While there are no specific statistics it really is more likely that someone playing a horde character is going to pay some money for the extra little push they are gong to need to make their player even better. Those that write guides like these to assist players that are enjoying the World of WarCraft are incredibly likely to be putting together a piece of work that people are more then willing to spend their money on.
Of course there are going to be people that are looking for a great guide that they will not have to pay any type of fee. This is simply not how the process should work. If you are looking for great information to allow you to plan a better strategy for your character you are gong to need to pay something in order to obtain that information. Now that being said if you are an member of the Alliance you are going to have to go about things in a very different manner then a Horde player looking for a guide. Instead of trying to locate a specific guide regarding the Alliance you need to look for an Ultimate Guide. You need to find something that really covers a good portion of the game. This will really be a help to you because they will include guides to getting gold, guides to specific classes and all sorts of really great stuff to help you while you are playing.

Arena Point: Building the Ultimate Character with the Arena Point Calculator

By admin | June 27, 2009

One of the biggest benefits to building an arena warrior is using an arena point calculator. Unfortunately you won’t find many places that offer the help needed for you to become successful. Sure, you might run to the WoW armory and try to use their system, but if this is your first time using one, they don’t really teach you the ins and outs of arena play.

When it comes to a game that has just about everything imaginable, a newbie can easily become overwhelmed with it all. This definitely holds true for World of Warcraft, and especially so for arena play. The first step is to get a feel for the game before you reach the appropriate levels to make it count. So find another player and practice in the Skirmishes. Once you start getting familiar with it all, figure out what each arena point can do for you.

The Arena Point Calculator

An arena point is the game’s way to reward players based on their skill. If you’ve been building your character with ease, try out a few Skirmishes and see if you’re as good as you think. It’s a lot different then simply dueling, and the various strategies that come along with it will either give one arena point or several. Hopefully your game is good enough to get several.

Keep in mind the rewards you receive are also based on the amount of arena matches you play. While there is a particular formula to adhere to, you don’t need to worry about it right now. The main goal is to find an arena point calculator that can be easy to use for the beginner and even the master of the game. It doesn’t matter if you’re a 2v2, 3v3, or even 5v5 because you’ll be able to track each arena point in whatever match you’re playing.

The Arena Point Search

We’ve spent months trying to find an arena point calculator that would help everyone. Most of the ones we found (including the World of Warcraft version) are bias towards familiar players. Then of course you can’t really ask anyone when you’re playing the game because they either make fun of you in trade chat, or it just takes too long to explain everything about an arena calculator.

However, we did find a place that helps everyone. Veterans can go there each week and take their weekly rating, then calculate the total arena point or points they’ve accumulated. Eventually you will start seeing your team climb the arena ladder and get better rankings. Eventually, you could find yourself entering tournaments that can be worth all kinds of money.

So if this is your first time having a little fun in the arenas, you need a place that is going to truly help you along the way. When you first take a look at it, you’ll notice the arena point calculator on the front page. While you can utilize it everyday, you will also find helpful hints around their website. There are tips that will help you defeat your opponent, a true explanation to how the arena point formula works, and many other benefits along the way. Hopefully we’ll see you in a tournament soon!
